Farm-Friendly Farmbrew to Open in Columbus

Good news for our friends and family in Columbus, Ind.

Chef Daniel Orr announced today that he’s planning to open up a restaurant there, his hometown.

He’s already been farming in the area and using what he produces at his popular restaurant Farm in Bloomington.

The new place, Farmbrew, will open sometime in the next year, occupying 15,000 square feet in the town’s old city pump house along the river.

When finished, Farmbrew will be a “combination of restaurant, catering/private dining facility, Brewery and music venue,” according to a note sent today by Orr.

The venue will also include two bars, a game room, music stage, brewery/soda facility, and outdoor music and catering areas. The website farm-brew.com is already up and running.

Can’t wait until it opens so we can check it out.
