Real Cookies for the Virtual FarmFamily

I spent so much of today hearing about “persistent cookies” in analytics training that I decided I needed to have the real thing tonight.

So the kids and I suited up in our aprons and whipped up a half batch. Obviously as the pix show, all did not go well.

Because I inadvertently melted instead of softened the butter in the microwave, the cookies turned out looking like pancakes. [I’m fairly certain that 4H Champ and Photo Farmgirl would never make this mistake.]

And then there was the batch I forgot on the bottom rack. Ooops. The iFarmer likes the burned parts, but these are even too far gone for him.

I didn’t fret too much about the charred tray after the Future Farmkids raved that these flat, chewy cookies were the best they’ve ever had.

  2. Hey, hey, 4h champ. Hold on a minute. I may need to follow a recipe, but I can bake. I believe you have eaten a few of my snickerdoodles and rather enjoyed them. As for your cookie expeirence virtual farmgirl, I am so sorry. I appreciate the farm kids positive spin though. I may not be the “best” baker in my household, but I do enjoy a good cookie. I really wanted peanut butter cookies tonight, but the baker man is asleep beside me. Sounds like no late night cookies for me.
