Back in the day when I was in Girl Scouts…way back, we mostly camped and worked on badges. I don’t recall that making and trading swaps was part of our tradition.
But lately I’ve come to embrace the concept. I’ve been playing with swaps for my daughter’s troop.
Below are three swaps we did yesterday for upcoming activities.
Here’s a Juliette’s Pearls swap that will be a thank you for a Cadette troop hosting a Girl Scout Week birthday bash.
World Thinking Day 2014
Here’s a 5 countries swap for our troop’s World Thinking Day meeting. Note, I made an error in sizing when I had Armenia printed. I, of course, did all this last minute and ordered the color laminated sheets to be printed and picked up at a Kinkos, so I didn’t notice this until it was too late.
This may be my favorite. I saw these little pipe cleaner bears on Pinterest. Here’s first stab at our take, with a Junior sash. My daughter wants to add patches. I figured the girls can work on these and maybe sell them at our next craft fair.
