I’m not going to describe myself as obsessed with Mason jars and their versatility.
But considering I’ve devoted a Pinterst board (70 pins and counting) to all things canning jar, and I’ve enjoyed using them to do everything from crafts (Mason jar snow globes), to pickling zucchini, and baked single-serving apple pies…it’s safe to say I’m a fan.
So I was absolutely tickled to learn that my friend has been crafting these handy, innovative Mason jar solar lights. The best part (besides how cute they are): They totally work.
We charged ours up and our little pint-sized jar light glowed all night. It was so bright, I had to take it into the hall.
As soon as the lights are on or there’s natural light on the solar panel, the jar light turns off. But as a room darkens, the jar light begins to glow brighter.
The price is $5, which is a steal. I’m hoping she’ll open a shop on Etsy or begin selling them on eBay. More to come.
