Those Buckeyes Know Their Salsa

It’s not really a Buy Local find (though it is made in Glouster, Ohio, and I found it while tripping through Michigan). But I’m noting it because I’m addicted after one jar of “all natural” Frog Ranch salsa (medium heat).

OMG, it’s, quoting Rachael Ray, “Delish.”

It’s just like I’d like to be able to make homemade salsa, with a perfect chunky consistency of crunchy onions and vine-ripe tomatoes.

And if you can’t find it in your store, you can order it online or send a friend a gift basket! Maybe my sista, who just got into grad school would like one of these gift baskets instead of flowers. Hmm.

There’s a dude in the picture, but as is the case with most worthy local inventions, there’s a farmgirl behind the genius. Grandma (with her pickled pepper canning recipe) and a farmgirl who helped found the company are credited in this bio.
